This is an opportunity for someone who is motivated by impact, comfortable working in complex healthcare environments and committed to building AstraZeneca’s position as a trusted partner in lung cancer care.

What you will do

  • Develop a detailed understanding of local lung cancer pathways, including referral patterns, diagnostic services, testing capacity, multidisciplinary team structures and potential barriers to timely care.
  • Identify and address opportunities to support appropriate biomarker testing and the integration of diagnostic insights into clinical decision-making, in collaboration with relevant internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Co-create, where appropriate and in line with company policies, solutions that support earlier diagnosis, efficient referral, appropriate testing, treatment pathways and an improved patient experience.
  • Understand the local lung cancer environment, including epidemiology, standards of care, treatment pathways, competitor landscape, healthcare priorities and unmet patient needs.
  • Deliver sales performance, manage assigned budgets and maintain accurate forecasts in accordance with business expectations and company policies.
  • Use omnichannel approaches to provide relevant and personalised engagement across accounts, adapting communication to the needs of healthcare professionals and local stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Diagnostics, Legal, Compliance and other relevant colleagues to deliver coordinated account plans.
  • Share customer and market insights responsibly to support business planning, strategic decision-making and the continuous improvement of our approach to lung cancer care.
  • Complete all required training and operate in full compliance with external regulations, industry codes and AstraZeneca policies.

What you will bring

Essential
  • Bachelor’s degree and advanced English proficiency.
  • Experience in secondary-care sales and sound knowledge of account management, ideally within Oncology, respiratory medicine or another relevant specialist area.
  • Experience engaging senior healthcare professionals, multidisciplinary teams, key accounts and medical stakeholders in complex clinical environments.
  • Understanding of lung cancer and the wider Oncology environment, including relevant treatment pathways, diagnostic considerations and the role of multidisciplinary care.
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate scientific information, clinical evidence and health-economic outcomes data in a clear, accurate and customer-focused way.
  • A track record of influencing complex decision-making units and creating value across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, business acumen, account planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to identify patient pathway challenges and develop appropriate, compliant and customer-focused solutions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Learning agility, self-confidence and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for patients with lung cancer.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the South Region.
Desirable
